Our story begins in the streets of Los Angeles. My Grandmother, after losing everything during the Salvadoran Civil War, started selling food on the streets of Los Angeles. You would see her at different worksites in Downtown Los Angeles: Factories; tourist areas like Santa Monica or Venice Beach! Where ever she could sell:  she did! She gained a cult following selling pupusas out of her church’s kitchen for a long time.

My father believed her pupusa recipe is one of the best. He opened various restaurants throughout the 1990s featuring her pupusas but closed a few years later.

 In 2007, he began selling on the streets with the hopes of opening a new kind of restaurant: A restaurant that sticks to the Salvadoran Roots and that stays true and authentic to the culture. His goal was to share his recipes: and feature our grandmothers pupusas. In 2009 we moved into our First Brick and Mortar location after selling on the streets. It was completely family run with my father in the kitchen and us kids on the floor. We lasted 17 years establishing ourselves in the community.

In 2025, we moved to a bigger location to serve more customers. And now after almost two decades of serving delicious food—we still aim to serve delicious meals from El Salvador using high quality ingredients—staying as close to tradition and authentic flavors as possible.
